Complete Design Services

JCES has vast experience in development for military requirements and can offer complete design services for mechanical / electro – mechanical up to complete product design or complete sub-assemblies.
Our engineers are used to picking up projects at different points in the product development life cycle, from ‘System Requirement’ documents to ‘detailed design reviews’.

Conceptual design, creativity and ‘thinking outside the box’ have helped our engineers achieve some fantastic products and some clever designs. We believe that the combination of lateral thinking and analytical attention to detail enables us to give our customers market leading solutions.

Detailed design tools such as Solid Edge, Solidworks, FEmap and the full Microsoft suite of Office Project and Visio.

We also can offer assembly and integration, debugging hardware, Pre certification testing. JCES have a number of reliable suppliers that we use to deliver products from CNC machining, sheet metal work, PCB fabrication and assembly, and assembly work. We also have experience in plastic mould design and foreign sourcing.

As well as our in house engineers JCES has a large pool of expertise to draw upon if required.

JCES can offer support for your technical team for ‘Critical Design Reviews’ and ‘Design Readiness Reviews’. Our approach to this is completely flexible to your needs from a 2 day session on site, to 3 weeks detailed review prior to manufacture. We offer analysis of design with respect to:

Customer requirements
System Requirements
Conceptual design
Detailed design, including:

   - EMC – Military (Def-Stan 59-41) and commercial specifications
   - Environmental requirementS
   - IP (Ingress protection) Sand, Dust and water
   - Drive system analysis including speed, torque, accelerations,
   inertia, etc of the complete drive train.
   - Structural analysis with FE analysis can be carried out to
   review suspect parts.

Design and assembly pack review.

The drawing pack is the output of the all the engineering activities
before it. The drawing pack needs to represent the design in its entirety
to meet the requirements and omissions in the drawing pack can lead
to failure to meet the requirements. JCES can offer to right and review
documentation, drawing packs, detailed designs in order for you to
have the best possibilities to meet your requirements.
